I am back with yet another Sephora haul…I think at this point I am going to stop numbering these posts because my Sephora trips are getting out of control. It’s time that I realize there will never be a break in Sephora haul posts because I will probably never stop shopping for new products! Nevertheless, I love writing these posts not because I am updating my readers on the new beauty products I have purchased but because I love giving a full review about what I think so the post has more purpose. As you may already know, I always trial new makeup and skincare for at least a month before I give you all my opinion on it. I love reading blog posts on the hot new products and the one’s that are just not worth the hype or the money so I hope you do too! 😊
The first item on the chopping block is a product I loved up until my skin went back to it’s old ways of being incredibly dry and flaky. The Marc Jacobs Genius Gel Supercharged foundation is amazing for a full coverage yet lightweight product that simply makes the skin look smooth and seemingly perfect. It also gives a flawless effect in photos and lasts all day so long as it is set with a powder or spray. With that being said…this product is for women with normal possibly even oily skin. It can show severe dry areas so be cautious if your skin is flaky.
Too Faced Hangover Replenishing face primer is something I purchased because quite a few bloggers raved about it. I expected it to hydrate my skin and make my foundation apply smoothly. It promises to hydrate, smooth, brighten, and give foundation a dewy finish however this didn’t provide enough change for me to want to purchase it again. I didn’t really notice any improvement in my makeup application or the way it looked on my skin.
The Clarisonic is something you all know I have been loving lately (read my last blog post on it here). The latest brush head I have purchased is the Luxe Facial Brush Head in Cashmere Cleanse. This brush is supposed to gently massage the skin while increasing the skin’s natural hydration levels. I think this brush head absolutely deep cleanses my skin while making it feel so soft and comfortable as the brush is working. However, I really can’t claim to it increasing my hydration levels since I believe I am dryer now than when I started using it (this is not due to the Clarisonic). With that being said, I absolutely love this Cashmere head because of how gentle it works but I can’t wait to try the Deep Pore brush head next.
A few months back, I remember the three new Caudalie masks were being highly talked about. Out of curiosity and an absolute love for hydrating masks I decided to pick up the moisturizing mask. Because of how dry my skin is about every three nights I will skip my normal moisturizer and replace it with a mask I can sleep in overnight. I still have yet to find the perfect moisturizing overnight mask but this Caudalie one did come close. While it made my skin feel hydrated initially I didn’t see much improvement in the morning and my skin didn’t look as glowy as I would have liked after using such a hydrating mask.
What have you picked up lately at Sephora? Share below! I would love to know 😊
