I am the biggest foundation junky. As much as I would love to admit that I only use a select few foundations I don’t know if I will ever be a one foundation kind of girl. I always have to have the newest foundation and literally try them all. Obsessed is kind of an understatement. I just love trying new products for that perfect and flawless skin look. These are just a few foundations I have picked up recently…the ones worth talking about so far at least.
First I want to talk about a foundation that isn’t pictured. Rimmel Lasting Perfection Foundation is freakin amazing. This is a medium to full coverage great for basically all skin types foundation. I definitely recommend setting with a powder because it lasts forever if you do! I’m mentioning this product because the price tag is incredibly low as you can find it at Ulta or your nearest drugstore. I seriously love how amazing this makes my skin look for all the young girls that can’t afford the foundations pictured above!
So lets get started with the Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation….my goodness this stuff is amazing. If you don’t have a whole lot to hide and just want something that is going to even out the skin with a dewy finish this is for you! I love the way this makes my skin look however it doesn’t last terribly long. I would say I can get 6-7 hours out of this foundation. But, it really does give a lit from within look to the skin.
Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation + Concealer is seriously gorgeous on the skin. The only problem with this is that it is best suited for any skin type except dry skin. It tends to show my dry patches which will definitely force me to stop using it quickly. But, it looks flawless and so smooth on the skin while being incredibly long lasting. This is definitely my favorite of the bunch but I will have to wait till my skin is a little more on the normal side to use it.
Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation is the holy grail of all foundations. It is so lightweight yet medium buildable coverage and just makes the skin look fresh and flawless. I love the way it just smooths my imperfections without looking cakey. Concealer is definitely needed for red spots or serious blemishes. I absolutely love the luminosity it adds to my skin however it isn’t very long lasting which is unfortunate. I can get through about 4-5 hours with this before having to reapply or touch it up.
I have to warn you all…I literally waited months for the Charlotte Tilbury Foundation to be released in the US. I stalked the website everyday and made sure I was subscribed to the emails. I lusted after this badly because beauty gurus in Europe raved about it. So, imagine my excitement when this arrived on my doorstep. If only…it was everything I thought it would be a more. Let me begin with if you have oily or normal skin you will love this. If you have the slightest bit of dry skin you won’t. This definitely is a foundation that only looks better as the day goes on. With that being said, it is visible on the skin and can look a bit cakey on dry skin. It also shows dry patches which is why I don’t use it. It does last a long time and would be an absolute dream for people with oily to normal skin.
